Why 4 green doors?

The properties are looked after by our friendly property manager, handyman and housekeepers who have all been with us for years.

4 Green Doors was founded in 2012 by the Bate family. It was inspired by the founders' two daughters who studied at UCT and wanted to live somewhere like home.

What makes us different?

We care! You aren’t just another tenant paying the rent. Every year starts off with socials in all the properties so that students get a chance to meet their new housemates and we can explain how everything works. Pizzas are always delivered from Ferdinandos quite simply the best pizza restaurant in Cape Town who are huge community players and are right on our doorstep.

We also care deeply about the planet and recycling is collected once a week by a small local company. Nothing beats nature to create a tranquil environment and plants are an important feature in all our properties.
